Chevy C10 Brake System Overhaul in Our Repair Shop

We love bringing classics back on the road. This time, a '66 Chevy C10 rolled into our shop needing some serious brake attention. Everyone knows, good brakes aren’t just important — they’re everything for a safety-first driving experience.

We dove right in and installed an 8-inch power brake booster. It’s not just about stopping power; it’s about making sure every stop is smooth. We also replaced the rear brake hose. This hose might seem like a small piece, but it’s crucial in delivering brake fluid where it needs to go.

Next, we focused on the front wheel cylinders. New cylinders mean you get consistent, reliable stopping force. Once all the parts were in place, bleeding the brakes was the final step. Bleeding gets rid of any air bubbles in the system, preventing spongy brake pedals and ensuring everything is shipshape.
