A busted splash shield is one of those problems people tend to ignore - until it starts scraping the pavement on every driveway or speed bump. That noise under the car isn't just annoying. It's a sign that something important is exposed and needs attention.

Here's what we were working with on this Mazda CX-5. The lower shield was cracked and broken in multiple spots, with large sections completely torn through. That kind of damage doesn't just look bad - it leaves your engine bay and undercarriage components wide open to road debris, water, and dirt. It also creates drag and can catch on things while you're driving.

We pulled the damaged shield off and got a proper replacement installed. The underside of this CX-5 went from a cracked, flapping mess to a clean, solid fit - everything seated and secured the way it should be from the factory. No more scraping, no more exposed components underneath.

This is the kind of repair that's easy to put off because it's out of sight. But a missing or broken splash shield can lead to bigger problems over time - contaminated components, reduced aerodynamic efficiency, and damage from road debris hitting parts that were never meant to take that kind of punishment. Getting it fixed quickly is always the smarter move.

If your car is making noise underneath, or you've noticed something hanging loose, don't wait on it. That's usually a sign something under the vehicle needs to be looked at - and the sooner we catch it, the simpler the fix tends to be.
